Tierra possesses both a knowledge and a passion for the areas of Methodology, African American Genealogy, Enslaved Ancestral Research, and DNA. She was a former administrator for the Virtual  Genealogical Society (VGA) African American special interest group and is a member of various genealogical societies and organizations. Tierra shares examples from her personal journey via her blog and social media with the hopes of teaching and inspiring others of all ages to begin 
pressing their own way. 

 

Tierra Cotton-Kellow is a professional genealogist currently residing in Harford County, Maryland by way of Newport News, Virginia. She is a wife and mother of 4. The creator and curator of the genea-blog "Pressing My Way" and the host of the online genealogy web series and podcast of the same name.
